A Formal Model – An Inhibition Show
Koenraad Dedobbeleer

Koenraad Dedobbeleer explores how an object or idea can exist simultaneously within different contexts and realities. Far from producing ready-mades, Koenraad Dedobbeleer reinterprets these manipulated elements and distorts their meaning in order to examine them more effectively. In his practice, everyday objects are modified and rearranged in larger entities – spaces in which new relations emerge.

Koenraad Deddobbeleer’s work has been widely exhibited in Europe at venues such as: Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp, Belgium (2014); Gesellschaft Aktueller Kunst, Bremen, Germany (2014); De Vleeshal, Middelburg, The Netherlands (2013); Le Crédac: Centre d’art contemporain d’Ivry, Ivry-sur-Seine, France (2013); Castillio / Coralles, Paris, France (2012); Lok/Kunstmuseum, St. Gallen, Switzerland (2012); Reception, Berlin, Germany (2012; 2010); Culturgest, Lisbon, Portugal (2010); Museum Haus Esters, Krefeld, Germany (2009); Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach, Germany (2007). His work has also been shown in numerous group exhibitions in venues such as Wiels, Brussels, Belgium (2015); Kunstverein, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2015); FAD, Barcelona, Spain (2015); PAKT, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2015); Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp, Belgium (2015). Dedobbeleer lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
